Welcome to the home of the Medsin Global Health Magazine at UCL. Now a year old, this is an exciting, well established project and there are many exciting ways to get involved with the magazine. The aim of the magazine is simple – to read and write about global health issues. If this sounds interesting to you then get involved!
Please note we are very keen to get non-medical students involved so do get in touch! Medical students are also very welcome. We are currently looking an editorial team for next year (2009/2010). To apply, please email medsinmagazine@gmail.com.

Perspectives Chief Editor...a job for you?
If you are interested in applying for Chief Editor please write 750 words maximum about why you want to be Chief Editor, what experience/qualities you have for the position and what ideas you would bring the magazine. Send this to me by the 5th March.If you are shortlisted for the position then you can put yourself up for voting at the Medsin AGM on TUESDAY 9TH March, at 6pm at room 337 (David Sachs room) in the Rockafeller building.

Perspectives issue 5, online now!
The fifth edition of the UCL Medsin Global Health magazine, Perspectives, is available now to download from this website.
In this issue we discuss some often neglected areas of Global Health and attempt to understand why they have been forgotten and what is being done to better the situation. Subjects include mental health around the globe, counterfeit drugs, women's health, and diabetes in developing countries.

Perspectives - call for articles for next edition
Hi,
Perspectives is UCL Medsin Global Health Magazine. We aim to raise awareness of the vast number health issues across the world and discuss what needs to be done and what is being done to change these problems. Past issues of Perspectives have included interviews, book reviews, feature length articles, and case studies. You can take a look at previous issues of Perspectives from here.
Remember you don't have to be a medical student; writers can be from any department, I only expect enthusiasm and commitment from you.
If you are interested in getting involved in the next issue of Perspectives, the deadline for drafts is the 18th January 2010, send me an email to medsinmagazine@gmail.com.

Perspectives issue 4, available to download now
The fourth edition of the UCL Medsin Global Health magazine, Perspectives, is available now to download from this website.
In this issue we examine the basic idea of global health, debate the effect of the recession on our health, and discuss the hot topic of Swine Flu. We also interview Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, Physician, Epidemiologist, Co-founder of the Nigerian Public Health Foundation and serial blogger. With the upcoming UCL MSF Darfur Week (30th November- 4th December), our feature article raises the awareness of the crisis in Darfur. As always we've got the latest global health news and reviews, as well as much much more!
